I was involved in the Basket of Love project started March 2017. I am amazed at the response I got from the recipients that I had referred . The people were overwhelmed and so excited when they got the baskets . They said there were things in the baskets that they use and need and some times have a hard time getting .God inspired Elder Milton to do this and it is a very good thing . I am so happy to be a part of this ongoing community outreach effort for the seniors .

I am 83 years old and I thought I had been through every trial and tribulation that one could experience, but I was wrong. My husband I had a good life for 44 years and then he died 4 years ago. I found myself unprepared for the problems (mostly financial) that I was confronted with . My son was a jewel He moved in with me and I was managing well and then the State Budget did not pass and that is who he works for .It was a struggle to make ends meet . One day I called Helping Hands because I had actually run out of food . I asked if they had a pantry The response was immediate. Elder Melton brought me food to last until my check came in . She was so kind and understanding . I will never forget it. My situation Thank God was temporary I am fine now , but I will never forget how fast and wonderful The Helping Hands responded .Wonderful organization. They practice what they preach . I will do whatever I can for them and definitely will never forget them.

Marietta - Thank you for sharing your book with me "Mission Impossible: Dedicated to Caregivers". My wife can certainly relate to it as she spent a tough year or so helping care for her mother in her fight with breast cancer. I’m sure many people are in need of the inspiration and motivation your book will provide. Congratulations on your upcoming 40th anniversary. We celebrated our 25th this year and we thought that was quite an accomplishment! Tom

Evang. Marietta, Thank you for writing such a book for caretakers. I was encouraged with it. I was only able take an quick look at your novel….and Chapt. 4 was encouraging because I did say WHY ME….. When taking care of my mom. It was because I was the chosen vessel to accomplish a challenge and that really touch me. I got out of this chapter to forgive, mend relationships with family and friends and to have a closer relationship with God as his servant. I was one also to be @ the hospital everyday in my mother last days by her bedside singing Gods praises, playing gospel music and praying for His will to be released from her suffering and I knew He did things in his own time. When God rewarded my request that was a great day on 4/08/08 because I knew that she was free from Pain and suffering and going to be with my father up in heaven…. Thank you for always being a wonderful Woman of God and encouragement that you share unto me... Keep reaching for his glory God be with you always Robin Lee Telephone Room 15th floor Philadelphia, PA
